We stitched together photos from the flight in order to provide a continuous view of the landscape. Because of the clouds, most of the stitching breaks down in regions where cloud cover was important and/or moving fast. Below is a list of the "small" and large panoramas we computed using Autopano Pro. We also computed a very large panorama of 609 images using the same software with a total size of 2 GB. This very large panorama takes about 22 GB of temporary space when using PhotoShop. We could not produce this giant panorama using the free version of Autostich and had to push the envelope of the Autopano software capability. We advise toward using version 1.3 (Release Candidate 3) or higher to produce similar large views. The assembly and rendering of the panorama took about 10 hours on a 2 Ghz AMD, running Windows XP SP2 with 2 GB RAM and more than 150 GB of free HDD. We generated a TIFF file (JPEG cannot seem to handle more than 64 K pixels in one direction) using the following Autopano options: multiband, zip compression, 8bits and no layers. The balloon GPS track can be found here (please note that you must subtract 7 hours (resp. 6 hours) to the UTC time on the GPS track in order to have MDT (resp. CDT) time)
